BTK’s MobaZane, Fwydchckn eye move to Philippines

BloodThirstyKing skipper Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun and gold laner Ian “Fwydchckn” Hohl are set to move to the Philippines, the former revealed on his Youtube livestream on Monday.

Disappointed with how things are going in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene in North America, MobaZane – who earlier considered a possible move to Indonesia – and Fwydchckn are flying to the Philippines on March 19.

According to MobaZane, he and Fwydchckn are planning to stream here in the Philippines and work with other Filipino content creators since the MPL Philippines Season Nine is still ongoing. He is also looking forward to playing with or against professional players.

“Yeah, we’re going to the Philippines though. The 19th, March 19,” shared MobaZane.

“I think it’s me, Chicken, and Carti [Victor] going. I guess we’re gonna be playing with a good amount of content creators, maybe some pro players. The thing is the MPL is ongoing, so maybe we can’t get matches with pro players. We’ll have to see, people in NA generally play PC and can’t help it, they’re less interested in ML. That’s why I want to get out of this country,” added the 20-year-old former Arena of Valor standout.

BloodThirstyKings went on a Cinderella run in the M3 World Championship, scoring huge upsets – including one against Blacklist International – before eventually ending the tournament at third place to put NA Mobile Legends on the map.

Still, despite BTK’s monumental achievement, the ML scene remained stagnant in North America. According to MobaZane, there are still no tournaments there at this time.

“ML is getting pretty boring in North America. Me and Chicken are gonna move to Asia, I think. I’m honestly very glad about that, I’m glad I’m not the only BTK member who’s interested in moving there ‘cause then I’ll have to go alone,’ said MobaZane.

“Me and Chicken are going to the Philippines, we can’t go to Indo right now so we’re just gonna go to the Philippines anyway. At this point, anywhere is better than NA. Third place fucking team [in M3] running from their own country.”
