Bren, Nexplay to join SIBOL qualis for World Esports Championships

Bren Esports and Nexplay EVOS are set to participate in the upcoming SIBOL qualifiers for the 14th World Esports IESF Championships this coming July 8, Friday.

Meanwhile, TNC decided to pass up on the qualifiers once again to prepare for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines Season 10.

Team managers Adi Padilla of Bren Esports, Dale Lopez of Nexplay EVOS, and Dredd De Guzman of TNC confirmed their decisions to Tiebreaker Times.

Bren Esports missed the playoffs for the second consecutive time in the MPL Philippines Season Nine while Nexplay EVOS exited the tourney at 5th-6th place after losing to ONIC PH in the lower bracket semifinals. TNC, on the other hand, took the league by storm and finished in third place despite parading a rookie-laden roster.

Nexplay EVOS and Bren Esports participated in the national team qualifiers for the 31st Southeast Asian Games, with the former reaching the grand finals only to lose to eventual gold medalists Blacklist International.

TNC also skipped that showcase.

According to a comment by SIBOL in one of its posts, players must be at least 15 years old to join the qualifiers.

Tiebreaker Times has already reached out to ECHO for an update but has yet to gain response as of posting time. Meanwhile, ONIC PH, which only has Nowee “Ryota” Macasa under contract, is likely to sit out the qualifiers.
