Reigning world champion Bren Esports welcomed former Aether star and popular streamer Raven “L3bron” Alonzo and two other rookies to its roster ahead of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Monday night.
L3bron, who started his career with Setsuna “Akosi Dogie” Ignacio’s Aether Valkyrie back in the league’s inaugural season, last played in the MPL back in Season Three with Aether Atlas.
After his three-season stint in the league, L3bron went on to pursue his streaming career before eventually finding his way back to the MPL Season Six champions’ lair.
Also joining the Bernard Chong-owned organization are rookies Maj “Malik” Malik and Rimuru.
Meanwhile, Bren lifer Mico “Coco” Sampang will also make his return after a two-season hiatus. The pride of Tarlac made way for David “FlapTzy” Canon back in Season Six to also pursue his streaming career.
Coco last suited up for Bren Esports in the M2 World Championships but did not play a single game.
Completing the squad are M2 Most Valuable Player Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, two-time MPL champions Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, CJ “Ribo” Ribo, and Allan “Lusty” Castromayor, along with Efphraim “Ejhay” Sambrano and FlapTzy.
After dominating the past year by winning the MPL Philippines Season Six, The Nationals Season Two, and the M2 World Championship, Bren Esports seemed to have lost its touch after finishing at fourth place in the recent MPL season.
The men in black and yellow dropped a two-to-nothing advantage against Execration, 3-2, in the third round of the lower brackrt to bow out of Season Six.
