Blacklist survives thriller vs Cignal, seizes MPL-PH Group A pole

Blacklist International snatched the number one spot in Group A after a thrilling 2-1 victory over Cignal Ultra in week seven of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season 6, Sunday evening.

It was a seesaw affair for both squads in Game Three, but Aqua (Yu Zhong) made the game-winning play for Blacklist when he was able to last-hit the lord in the midst of clash.

With the lord already on Blacklist’s side, Cignal made the quick escape to set up their defense. However, Bensanity (Baxia) fell behind which resulted in a kill for Aqua.

RHEA (Khaleed) was able to nab a kill on FULLCLIP (Ling) in the end game, but Blacklist’s firepower proved to be too much for Cignal to defend in the game which lasted for almost 32 minutes.

Aqua provided a clean 7-0-4 KDA for Blacklist International while FULLCLIP had five kills, four deaths, and six assists for the Tier One-backed squad, who took the first spot from Aura PH in Group A after collecting a total of 22 points despite posting identical 7-4 records.

Blacklist International had a dominant Game One victory, but a surprise Saber pick from Cignal’s Hadess in the second match tied the series at 1-all.

Cignal, after BSB’s Game One loss to Execration later in the day, has secured the last spot in the playoffs.

In other games, BREN Esports overcame a tight Game Two to sweep BNK Blufire, 2-0, while Execration handed BSB the boot via a 2-0 sweep.

BREN upped its total tally to 29 points after scoring its tenth victory in 11 outings while – Execration, who now has a 6-5 standing, tied Aura PH at the second spot of Group A with 21 points apiece.
