Blacklist Rivalry, Team Secret take Asia Pacific Predator League crowns

Two Filipino teams dominated the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 with Blacklist Rivalry taking the DOTA 2 title and Team Secret bagging the VALORANT championship at the Mall of Asia arena last Sunday.

Blacklist swept the competition in the DOTA 2 field, going for a flawless 4-0 record in the group stage before eliminating IHC Esports in the semi-finals.

They reasserted their mastery of Execration in the finals with 2-0 sweep to clinch the title highlighted by flawless performances by Polo “Raven” Fausto and Kim “Gabbi” Santos.

Raven led the way in the opener with an 8-0-15 KDA while Gabbi spearheaded the close out win with an immaculate 4-0-13 KDA.

Meanwhile, Team Secret had a similar undefeated run in the VALORANT group stage then took down Vietnam’s Team Flash, 13-4, in the semi-finals.

In the title match, the Filipinos faced a stiff opener against their Japanese rivals before turning a 4-4 deuce into a 12-6 rout courtesy of Jeremy “Jremy” Cabrera’s exploits then held on to reach championship point with a 13-7 opening win.

Team Secret continued to rampage in Game 2, taking the first eight rounds and reached match point with a run away 12-1 spread. They never looked back from there to complete a sweep for the Filipinos.

Blacklist and Team Secret each pocketed 65,000 USD along with the title as the kings of the Asia Pacific.
