Blacklist International faces revamp as Wise submits resignation

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen and Jonash Dannug

It seems like Blacklist International will be forced to gear towards a revamp.

On Thursday night, Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, one of the key figures that brought the Tier One-backed squad to glory, announced his departure from the organization.

Wise is the fourth member of Blacklist International to leave the team after former MPL Philippines MVP Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, Edward “Edward” Dapadap, and Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo.

The 23-year-old jungler joined the organization in 2021 after being part of the deal – which also involved OhMyV33NUS – that sent then-up-and-coming jungler Kairi “Kairi.” Rayosdelsol to ONIC PH.

That signaled the start of one of the most dominant franchises in MPL history.

Immediately after joining the squad, Wise and OhMyV33NUS helped Blacklist International clinch back-to-back titles in the MPL PH Seasons 7 and 8.

The duo continued their dominant run with the national team, guiding SIBOL to gold medal campaigns in the 31st Southeast Asian Games and 2022 IESF World Championship.

However, the grind took its toll on Wise as he eventually skipped Season 9 to rest.

The former ONIC PH star returned in Season 10 along with OhMyV33NUS and once again led Blacklist International to a championship – their third in four seasons.

Blacklist International went on to finish second in the following season after losing to ECHO in the finale, which marked the last time that the V33Wise duo suited up in a Tier One jersey.

They took a leave of absence that saw them skip the last three seasons.
