Bali Pure to add 2 more ex-Lady Eagles

The Ateneo Lady Eagle reunion continues for V-League powerhouse Bali Pure.

Bali Pure’s playing coach Charo Soriano confirmed Tuesday morning that Bali Pure is set to add versatile hitter Ella De Jesus and setter Jem Ferrer to the already stacked line-up.

The only hold-up to signing the two was clearance from the home company of the two, PLDT. However, Soriano told Tiebreaker Times that they have already verbally secured the clearance needed from the MVP-owned company. “We’ve gotten verbal confirmation from PLDT. We just need to go through the proper documentation to get them on the team,” Soriano said.

De Jesus last played for the Ateneo Lady Eagles as a guest player during the V-League’s Collegiate Conference back in 2015.

On the other hand, Ferrer has stayed active from the courts as she served as back-up to Ruby de Leon during the PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters’ campaign during the Reinforced Conference.

Once clearance has been secured, Bali Pure will have a total of nine former Lady Eagles in the line-up headline by Alyssa Valdez and Denden Lazaro.

Their addition to the team comes at a crucial time as Valdez and Grethcel Soltones will miss the team’s first two matches due to their European tour.
