Lacking rebounds yesterday, Thirdy Ravena fulfilled his promise to crash the boards more.
Ravena filled up the statsheet in San-En’s huge 83-66 win over Ibaraki to bounce back in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday at the Kamisu Disaster Prevention Arena.
After a two-rebound game versus the Robots yesterday, the 6-foot-3 winger grabbed seven rebounds to go along with seven points, six assists, and a block.
This is a huge win for NeoPhoenix, though. It arrested their three-game slide to go up to 3-5.
And after a disappointing game yesterday, the NeoPhoenix surged past the Robots in the second frame that saw them gain a 50-34 lead.
San-En did not relinquish its double-digit lead until the final buzzer.
Elias Harris led San-En with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists while Justin Knox had 16 points and seven rebounds as Robert Carter missed his second straight game.
Kazuma Tsuya knocked down three treys as well for 11 points.
The Robots, who missed the services of Javi Gomez de Liano, dropped to 1-7.
Eric Jacobsen paced Ibaraki anew with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Marc Trasolini had 12 points and nine rebounds while Chehales Tapscott got 10 points and nine rebounds, as well.
Up next for Ravena and NeoPhoenix are Ray Parks and Nagoya on Wednesday at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium. On the other hand, Ibaraki hopes to have Gomez de Liaño on the same day when it heads to Wing Arena Kariya to face Mikawa.
