Coming off a loss to Kiefer Ravena and Shiga last weekend, Ray Parks and Nagoya exacted revenge on Kiefer’s brother Thirdy.
The Diamond Dolphins cruised to a 98-70 win over the San-En NeoPhoenix in the 2021-22 B.League season, Wednesday at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium.
Parks had 12 points, two rebounds, and an assist in the rout.
On the other hand, Thirdy, who figured in early foul trouble, ended up with 14 points but had three turnovers.
Unlike their game against the Lakestars last Sunday, the Diamond Dolphins started the game with a 25-10 blitz and never looked back. It did not help NeoPhoenix that Thirdy, who scored seven of those 10 points, was slapped with his second foul midway through the opening frame.
Nagoya never let up, leading by as much as 32 points, 96-64, with a minute and 26 seconds left in the game.
Scott Eatherton led the Diamond Dolphins with 19 points and 10 rebounds while Coty Clarke had 16 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
Tenketsu Harimoto added 16 points built on three treys from off-the-bench.
The Diamond Dolphins went up to 5-4 while dropping the NeoPhoenix to 3-6.
Elias Harris paced San-En with 14 points, eight boards, and two steals. He had to come out of the game late in the final frame.
In his return after a two-game absence, Robert Carter got 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Parks and Nagoya will open their Emperor’s Cup campaign this Saturday as they go up against Juan Gomez de Liano and Tokyo Z at 10:00AM.
San-En, on the other hand, faces B2 team Koshigaya Alphas on Sunday at 10:30AM.
