Aurora edges Twisted Minds, extends MPL PH streak to 3

Aurora secured their third consecutive win by edging out a resilient Twisted Minds squad, 2-1, to join them at the top of the standings in Week 3 of MPL Philippines Season 16 on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

The victory improved Aurora’s record to 3-1, while Twisted Minds (3-2) suffered their second straight loss.

Execution was the key for head coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani, as his team defeated another top-four squad for the third consecutive time.

“Naexecute ng players yung pinapractice namin and nagawa namin yung hinanda namin sa Twisted Minds. Kaya tingin ko nagkaron kami ng advantage. Credits pa rin sa players kasi maganda talaga yung naging execution nila,” MTB said.

Jan “Domeng” Delmundo (Harith) led Aurora’s dominant opening win with a double kill during an 11th-minute base turret siege, finishing with a flawless 4-0-7 KDA.

In Game 2, Twisted Minds’ pick-off-oriented composition allowed Michael “MP the King” Endino (Lancelot) to control objectives, securing all turtle buffs and the only lord of the match.

His 5-1-1 KDA, with his only death coming in the closing moments, evened the series and earned him the game MVP honors.

The decider saw Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo (Kimmy) take over, delivering a 3-0-3 KDA by the 7th minute as Aurora built a 7,200-gold lead off a near-shutout 7-1 kill score—a cushion they never relinquished to clinch the series.
