SANTA ROSA, Laguna — One of the brightest stars in Philippine volleyball is officially set to take her talents back home.
After years of making her mark in the collegiate ranks and on the international stage, Alyssa Solomon has declared for the 2026 Premier Volleyball League Rookie Draft, her management group Hustle and Groove announced on Friday.
Widely regarded as one of the most sought-after prospects of her generation, Solomon skipped last year’s draft—headlined by her National University teammate Bella Belen—to pursue a stint in the SV.League with Osaka.
She has since parted ways with the Marvelous following the conclusion of the season.
The 24-year-old opposite hitter has also become a key piece for Alas Pilipinas, helping the national team capture a silver medal in the AVC Nations Cup and finish fourth in the Southeast Asian Games last year.
Before making the leap to the professional ranks, Solomon built a decorated collegiate career with National University, where she emerged as a three-time UAAP champion and two-time Best Opposite Spiker in the women’s volleyball tournament.
She also delivered one of the defining performances of her career in Season 86, earning Finals MVP honors after powering the Lady Bulldogs back to the championship in her final season with the program.
However, Solomon and the rest of the draft applicants may still withdraw their applications before the June 1 deadline set by the league.
