After four years, Allen Durham is returning to his second home.
The hulking 6-foot-6 forward will reinforce Meralco in the upcoming 2024 PBA Governors’ Cup, as confirmed by Bolts team manager Paolo Trillo to Tiebreaker Times.
Durham, 36, spent the last four years in the B.League. He played for Niigata during the pandemic-stricken 2020-21 season before staying with Ryukyu for the last three years.
Durham led the Golden Kings to three straight Finals appearances, including a championship in the 2022-23 season.
Now, he gets to settle some unfinished business with the Bolts.
Durham, a three-time PBA Best Import, lost in the PBA finals thrice.
However, with Meralco coming off a championship conference, the team now has experience in closeouts, which Durham also gained in Japan.
Meralco is slotted with TNT, Magnolia, Northport, Terrafirma, and Converge in the Governors’ Cup.
