Akari taps three-time Olympian Prisilla Rivera as import

Akari tapped the services of three-time Olympian Prisilla Rivera for its maiden campaign in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, Wednesday.

The 37-year-old spiker from the Dominican Republic will be bringing in a wealth of experience to a young Chargers side, which is composed of former collegiate standouts.

She last played for Jakarta Pertamina Energi in Indonesia before taking her act to the Philippines.

Rivera will join a very young core of Trisha Genesis, Michelle Cobb, Jho Maraguinot, Erika Raagas, and Dani Ravena in Akari.

Calling the shots for the Chargers is Jorge Souza de Brito, who also coaches the Philippine women’s national volleyball team.
