Before the first day of his senior year at Adamson University, Jerom Lastimosa received the biggest honor a school can give him.
Adamson retired Lastimosa’s jersey No. 7 during the school’s pep rally on Friday in San Marcelino, Manila.
The 5-foot-10 guard out of Dumaguete becomes the first Soaring Falcon to have his jersey retired by Adamson.
Lastimosa arrived in Adamson back in 2018 after a stellar run at Asian College – Dumaguete.
Right in his very first year, he had an immediate impact with the Soaring Falcons.
In UAAP Season 85, he blossomed into becoming the top point guard in the collegiate ranks, averaging 15.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
He had the most Player of the Game awards last year.
Lastimosa also was part of Gilas’ pool early this year, eventually being named to the 32nd Southeast Asian Games team that won gold.
Lastimosa though will miss the majority of the first round of the UAAP Season 86 Men’s Basketball Tournament due to a knee injury.
