Gonzaga on F2 losses: ‘We’re soldiers, babawi kami’

After six straight wins to begin their Philippine Superliga 2016 All-Filipino Conference, RC Cola-Army has fallen twice against the same team in a span of two days.

The Lady Troopers’ team captain Jovelyn Gonzaga did not hide the disappointment the team felt after their back-to-back losses to the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

“We’re disappointed sa outcome ng game kasi hindi naman natin gusto na ganun ang kalabasan ng game.”

“Gusto naming magbigay ng magandang laban sa mga taong nanunuod sa’min, pero ganu’n talaga,” she said.

“Ako nga that time, ‘di ko ma-motivate ‘yung sarili ko e. Lahat siguro ng factor, ginawa ko na,” she continued.

“[Sabi ko,] “Relax na lang natin. Chill na lang natin.” pero siguro, that time, katawan na talaga ang bumibigay.”

“We’re soldiers. ‘Di naman kami basta-basta nagpapa-low morale agad. Oo, natalo kami. Na-hurt kami, pero babawi kami,” she said.

The Central Philippines University’s pride also lauded their younger opponents, who are still undefeated after nine games.

“Sobrang solid [‘yung F2 Logistics]. ‘Yung chemistry talaga nila. Nagkatapatan kami.”

“We have chemistry rin naman sa team. Sila kasi solid. Solid na sila as a UAAP team, dinagdagan pa ng mga seniors nila, plus factor talaga,” said the Guimaras-native.

Gonzaga, lastly, said she also holds on to Army head coach Kungfu Reyes’ words of motivation after the game.

‘Yun lagi ‘yung sinasabi nila coach. It’s okay. Babawi tayo. ‘Yun ‘yung spirit natin. Kahit anung mangyari, bumabawi at bumabawi tayo,” she closed.
