The defending PBA D-League Foundation Cup Champions, the Café France Bakers, look to rebound from their first defeat of the tourney when they go up against AMA Online Education, Tuesday, in the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Bakers are coming off an 84-80 loss to Tanduay last Thursday, and look to vent their frustrations on the still-listless Titans in the curtain raiser at 2:00 p.m.
Café France will bank on the leadership of Congolese big man Rod Ebondo, and Paul Zamar, to negate the presence of the returning Jay-R Taganas for AMA.
In the second game, Racal will try to escape an upset bid by the dangerous Blustar Detergent at 4:00 p.m.
Despite the Dragons still being at 0-3, Tile Masters coach Caloy Garcia kept his squad on their toes as he said, “They’re a big team, but our advantage is we’re a quicker team than them.”
“We just have to come out with the same energy as we had,” Garcia added, after Racal’s 102-83 victory over Topstar ZC Mindanao last week.
Blustar, meanwhile, will be hoping to sustain their promising form after close defeats to Café France and Phoenix last week.
The Dragons will once again lean on Juami Tiongson and Kuek Tian Yuan in this game against the Tile Masters.
