Onic Esports and Blacklist International once again figured in a playoff match this year. And despite the latter fielding in two new players to the roster, the series was much more competitive than the previous one.
This time, Blacklist went the distance against the Indonesian champions which they dominated in Game 4 with a colossal 10-1 spread on the kill tally.
And there’s one player who stood out from Onic Esports head coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda.
“Lahat sila solid pero yung pinaka solid, simula pa lang nung MSC, is si Yue,” he said.
Blacklist’s Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo entered the pro-scene back in the MPL Philippines Season 11, eventually bagging the Rookie of the Season award.
With his impressive play thus far, Yue has already leapfrogged multi-titled Salik “Hadji” Imam as the team’s starting midlaner.
“Magaling si Yue. Kung mapapansin lang din ng iba, underrated siya sobra. Yung mechanics niya. yung timing niya, lahat high-level,” said Yeb of Yue.
“Bukod sa ang cute cute niya, sayaw siya nang sayaw, magaling talaga siya.”
Yue’s brilliance will once again be key as they try to crawl from the lower bracket, starting with their rematch against Fire Flux Esports in a do-or-die best-of-5 on Monday, November 11.
