Wong family seeks privacy as fans camp out at Deanna’s ancestral home

Deanna Wong has always been grateful to her fans.

Always accomodating, the 23-year-old playmaker never forgets to accommodate her fans, taking pictures, signing autographs, and conversing with them after games.

“Di ko alam, sobrang blessed lang and humbled kasi ayun, like I always say… I don’t know kung anong ginawa ko, I don’t know kung sino ‘man ako,” said Wong during Game One of the 2022 PVL Open Conference’s bronze series last April 6.

“I’m really just grateful for all of them kasi hindi lang sila sa’kin nagsusuporta, sa buong team [din]. I wish them the best.”

For the Holy Week, Wong, who had begged off from national team duties due to a shin injury, went back home to her hometown of Minglanilla, Cebu to get away from the buzz of the metropolis and get some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

However, her fans trooped to her house just to catch a glimpse of Choco Mucho’s ace setter.

And it has raised concern from Deanna’s mom Judin.

In a video posted by the Wong matriarch, throngs of fans gathered around the gate of their home, seeking a photo op with Deanna.

“Paano kami makakalabas para makapunta ng simbahan kung ganito karami ang naka-abang lagi sa gate?

“Ang iba galing pa sa Mindanao at other parts of the Visayas. Ang iba alas sais pa ng umaga nandun,” read Judin’s post in Bisaya.

After the video was posted, fans on social media are calling for Deanna’s diehards to give the family some privacy.
