Wise, OhMyV33nus punish ONIC as Blacklist enters MPL PH playoffs at 12-1

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna finally had the chance to meet the team that traded them in the offseason. And they made sure to show their former brothers-in-arms what they lost in the swap.

Wise and OhMyV33NUS took turns in punishing their former team ONIC PH, powering Blacklist to a 2-0 sweep to cap off its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season with a win, Sunday evening.

“Maraming nag sasabi na ito raw yung most important non-bearing match pero kasi kami ano, yung mindset namin naka set na for the playoffs so sa akin sakto lang. Same sa mga nalalaban namin dati, typical match lang,” said OhMyV33NUS in the post-match interview.

The Tier One-backed squad survived the early onslaught of ONIC PH to turn the game around and snatch Game Two in a snap.

With ONIC PH taking advantage of Blacklist’s Diggie feeding strategy, Edward “Edward” Dapadap’s Lapu Lapu held the fort to buy enough time for Wise’s Ling to scale up.

Once Wise got the items he needed, Blacklist International grouped up and that seemed to be the end of ONIC PH’s reign.

Wise — who was traded to Blacklist by ONIC together with OhMyV33NUS — finished with four kills and nine assists against a death in the 18-15 Game One win which lasted for 18 minutes and 51 seconds.MPL-PH-Season-7-Blacklist-def-ONIC-Game-1 Wise, OhMyV33nus punish ONIC as Blacklist enters MPL PH playoffs at 12-1 ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Blacklist International then showed off the Aldous in Game Two, but just like in the opener, the team needed another player to hold the fort to win the game.

That’s when OhMyV33NUS came in, putting on a show with his Yve to provide Wise enough space to get his Soul Steal stacks.

Wise ended up with the SMART MVP award with four kills and 10 assists against three deaths while OhMyV33NUS added seven kills, two deaths, and five assists in the win.MPL-PH-Season-7-Blacklist-def-ONIC-Game-2 Wise, OhMyV33nus punish ONIC as Blacklist enters MPL PH playoffs at 12-1 ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Blacklist International, whose sole loss came from defending champion Bren Esports, ended the regular season with a 12-1 win-loss standing with 32 points in Group B.

Meanwhile, ONIC PH ended the regular season at fourth place of Group A with a 7-6 record and 18 points.
