Taguig remained unblemished in the 2019 Women’s National Basketball League last Sunday after romping Pampanga, 87-51, at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig City.
Vangie Soriano had 22 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, and Lhen Flormata had 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Lady Generals won their fifth game in as many outings.
The Lady Generals won in lopsided fashion and led by as many as 36 points despite missing Janine Pontejos and Chack Cabinbin due to national team duties.
Taguig also outscored Pampanga, 28-6, in the first quarter to start the pullaway.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Navy-Go for Gold defeated Pampanga, 79-52, to improve its card to 3-1.
Trixie Antiquiera had 12 points, and Bernadette Mercado had 11 points for the Lady Sailors in winning their third straight game after leading by as many as 34 points in the match.
The Lady Sailors occupy the third spot behind Cleon and Clyde, which holds a 4-1 win-loss record.
With the two losses over the weekend, the Pampanga Delta Amazons are still winless in five matches.
