UE to compete in Taiwan tourney

University of the East will not be left behind.

The Red Warriors are set to fly out of the country on Tuesday as they are set to compete in the 2023 Fu Jen Catholic University Cup.

The tournament will see UE take on the top varsity squads of Taiwan in a single-round format.

Games are scheduled from July 12 to 16 with no breaks.

UE, the host of UAAP Season 86, will open its campaign on Wednesday against National Taiwan University of Science and Technology on Wednesday.

The Red Warriors then take on National Taiwan Sport University (Thursday), Hsing Wu University (Friday), and National Taiwan University of Arts (Saturday).

The Jack Santiago-coached squad will cap its campaign on Sunday against host FJCU.

UE is also competing in the ongoing 2023 UCBL Invitational Tournament.

Other UAAP teams currently abroad are Ateneo de Manila University in Australia and University of the Philippines in Serbia.

De La Salle University is bound for Japan, while National University is headed to Korea as well.
