The UAAP Season 85 collegiate volleyball tournaments will utilize a video challenge system starting the second round of action.
The league’s volleyball commissioner Mike Verano bared the development on Wednesday during the press conference for the sport at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
“We will have the challenge starting the second round,” announced Verano, a product of University of the Philippines.
Verano shared the reason why the league would only have the system starting the second round and not have it in the first seven games of each team.
“The reason for this is the availability of the actual system. Four leagues ongoing the first quarter and the UAAP is the last to begin the season,” added the new commissioner.
UAAP already had the video challenge system in Season 82 but did not implement it last season.
