College of Saint Benilde head coach Ty Tang and his family have quietly left the country on Saturday morning as they embark on a new journey in Canada.
Yes, the Tang family will be migrating to the Great White North.
“Will miss you bro Ty Tang,” expressed his lead assistant in CSB Charles Tiu on social media. “Thanks for all the great memories and friendship.
“God speed and best of luck in your new chapter in Canada. Bummed that I didn’t get to say goodbye.”
Tang has already bid farewell to the Blazers last June 18, leaving the position of head coach vacant.
In the three years he spent with CSB, the 36-year-old tactician, who is a champion in both the PBA and UAAP as a player, amassed a 23-31 record — finishing just a rank shy of the NCAA Final Four in his last two seasons.
The Blazers will have a core of Justin Gutang, Will Gozum, and Migs Oczon if ever the NCAA Season 97 season pushes through.
Marvin Bienvenida and Karl Santos have already sent their applications to the school for the vacant post.
