Two year break doing wonders for F2 in PNVFCL, says Dy

F2 Logistics is showing no signs of rust in the PNVF Champions League.

On Tuesday night, the Cargo Movers made quick work of Tuguegarao, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19, to move on the cusp of the first-ever Champions League title.

Already four games in and the Ramil De Jesus-coached squad have yet to drop a single set in the entire tournament. Pretty impressive for a team that missed action for almost two years.

Kianna Dy, who top-scored with 12 points, bared that the team’s flawless campaign traces back to their extended break.

“Actually, matagal na rin kaming hindi naglalaro… Almost two years I think, as a team,” said Dy, who had a head start over her teammates. She suited up for the Philippines in the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship.

“Mahaba rin talaga yung preparations namin kasi ‘di rin kami nakasali ng PVL. So we took everything, all our learnings and all our trainings in this tournament,” added the 26-year-old opposite spiker out of La Salle.

F2 Logistics would have played in the first-ever professional season of the Premier Volleyball League in Ilocos Norte last July. But they backed out at the last-minute due to injuries.

Prior to the PNVF Champions League, F2 last played an official match on March 3, 2020 in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix.

Now back and healthy, the Cargo Movers are wasting no time to showcase their improvements. And they upped their slate to a league-best 4-0 with 12 points.

F2 will take on its lone contender in reigning PVL champion Chery Tiggo on Thursday at 4:00 PM.
