During the first few weeks of the enhanced community quarantine, Troy Rosario and his family have been praying for the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to end. But with the situation becoming worse as the days go by, the Gilas Pilipinas mainstay decided to not just sit back and wait.
The 28-year-old TNT Katropa asked for goods that he will pack and distribute to the vulnerable communities in Quezon City.
“First few weeks ng lockdown I was helping thru donations hoping and praying na matapos na itong pandemic. Unfortunately, na-extend yung lockdown,” said Rosario.
“So right now, I just want to do my part to help people na walang wala dahil naapektuhan nitong crisis.”
Contributing to Rosario’s cause were SM’s Hans Sy, the administration of SM Fairview, and overseas Filipino workers Gel Ibasco and Darel Ibasco.
More than 100 bags of goods were distributed by the Rosario family during Easter Sunday.
“Packing our first batch of relief goods for distribution tomorrow. I posted it not to brag but to inspire others,” continued Rosario.
“Alam ko yung pakiramdam na wala ng mahugot at mapambili ng pagkain. Malalagpasan din natin to. Magtiwala lang at magdasal.”
And Rosario hopes that there will be more who would help his cause.
