Gaining learnings from first conference, Trisha Tubu looks to soar higher next time out

Despite Farm Fresh’s stint in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference coming to a close, opposite spiker Trisha Tubu remains grateful for the lessons and opportunities she gained in her rookie season.

Tubu sacrificed her remaining years of eligibility after becoming the Adamson Lady Falcon’s top gunner in the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament to pick up the experience and lessons necessary to become an all-around player in the pros.

Sana po patuloy pa rin yung pagsupporta ng mga tao samin,” said Tubu who dropped 12 points in Farm Fresh’s five-set defeat against Foton on Saturday.

The 5-foot-8 spiker from Concepcion, Tarlac, had to make the tough decision to turn pro to support her father’s heart condition, and she has become the breadwinner for her family.PVL-Invitational-Foton-vs.-Farm-Fresh-Trisha-Tubu-4991 Gaining learnings from first conference, Trisha Tubu looks to soar higher next time out News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

Along with Tubu’s departure from UAAP and the departure of Jerry Yee, Ckyle Tagsip, Kate Santiago, Cae Lazo, Louie Romero, and Rizza Cruz have also left the team.

Tagsip, Santiago, and Lazo remain teammates with the 22-year-old opposite spiker at Farm Fresh in the professional league.

Come the third conference of the PVL, Tubu now knows the level of competition.

And she can’t wait to bounce back.

With all the lessons she has learned, Tubu aims to become a leader for the young Farm Fresh squad in the upcoming PVL conference. (Ernest Martin Tuazon)
