Just in case senator Manny Pacquiao changes his mind about retirement, Top Rank President Bob Arum is ready.
Arum, who does not believe that Pacquiao’s has fully embraced life after boxing, has reportedly reserve the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA for the week of October 15, 2016.
“We have the date, just to protect ourselves,” Arum told the LA Times.
Moreover, the promoter stressed that it was just a safeguard measure as the now-senator of the Philippines does not know his schedule or his committees with the upper house.
“He has to see what committees he has, what kind of hearings he has,” Arum furthered.
Should Pacquiao make a return to the squared circle, Arum already has three opponents in mind to take on the only eight-division champion the sport has ever seen. These are WBA World super lightweight champion Adrien Broner (32-2, 24KO), WBO World Super Lightweight champion Terrence Crawford (28-0, 20KO), and WBA World Welterweight champion Keith Thurdman (27-0, 22KO).
