TNT, Terrafirma seek quick rebound in PBA Comm’s Cup clash

It’s going to be a race on who gets back on track first when TNT and Terrafirma face off in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup this Saturday.

Game time is set at 5:15 p.m., with much of the focus drawn on the defending conference champions after losing a close one against Meralco in an all-MVP duel, 110-106, last Tuesday–and under the same lights of the old venue.

It spoiled their bid to win a third straight outing, but a chance to bounce back quickly lies ahead later in a game in which they’re heavily favored, as far as the Casino Plus sportsbook is concerned, as they’re seen to win by -12 points.

The over/under in total points scored, meanwhile, is set at 210.5.

Bol Bol and his crew (2-2), however, surely do not want to be too confident coming in, as they will be battling a Dyip side that’s bent to snap out of a funk.

After starting the conference with three consecutive wins, the men of Coach Ronald Tubid are now in the midst of a two-game slide, with their most recent loss an 85-70 defeat to Clint Chapman and Magnolia last Tuesday as well.

Taking the floor in the 7:30 nightcap would be the Bolts and guest team Macau, with the latter hoping to stretch their winning streak to three against the only team yet to break through into the conference’s win column.

As it stands, Coach Luigi Trillo and his charges are sharing the no. 2 spot with NLEX as they both tote identical 4-1 records, but could part ways with their sister team and take solo second should they take care of business later.

Needless to say, momentum is on their side entering the bout against the 0-5 Black Knights, and the Casino Plus sportsbook is in their favor as well.

Per its betting odds, Meralco is a heavy favorite as it’s being seen to win by -13.0 points, which is the highest for any team in this tourney so far. The over/under in total points scored, on the other hand, is set at 209.5.
