TNC to sign Singaporean import for MPL PH 8

TNC is leaving no stone unturned upon its entry in the Mobile Legends scene, signing battle-tested veterans Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo and Douglas “ImbaDeejay” Astibe ahead of the MPL Philippines Season Eight, Tuesday night.

Toshi, recently released by Omega Esports, has played in the MPL since Season Four. Meanwhile, ImbaDeejay played a huge part in bringing the Cignal franchise back into the MPL stage during Season Six.

The Filipino esports giant will be bringing back the core of Work Auster Force in Daniel “Chuuu” Chu, Dylan “Light” Catipon, Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico, Clarense “Kousei” Guzman, and Patrick “P-GOD” Ibarra.

Incoming rookies Der and Benthings are also part of the squad while a Singaporean player will complete the cast of TNC.

Former sixth man Thom “Mhot” Bernardo was released last June 25, Friday.

Work Auster Force was a force to be reckoned with in Season Seven. It scored huge victories over MPL powerhouses ONIC PH, Aura PH, and Execration in the regular season.

The team was a win away from securing an upper bracket slot in Group B, falling to the third spot with an 8-5 record. Still, Work Auster Force had an impressive campaign, booting out fan-favorites Nexplay Esports via a 3-1 result. It later lost to world champion Bren Esports through a 1-3 result in the second round of the lower bracket.

Laurence “Lift” Ruiz will still coach the squad.
