TNC is leaving no stone unturned for the upcoming The International 10 Southeast Asia qualifiers.
This, as the Filipino powerhouse squad signed Dota 2 legend Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung to be its coach for the upcoming regional qualifiers, Monday evening.
“We are excited to announce that the legendary Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung will be joining our current roster as Coach for the TI10 SEA Qualifiers. We believe that his insights and experience in the game will help us achieve our goal to claim the prestigious Aegis this year. Let the battle begin,” posted TNC on its social media accounts.
The 30-year-old Mushi is considered one of the best midlaners to ever come out of Southeast Asia. He led Orange Esports to a third-place finish in TI3 before spearheading Team DK and Fnatic to fourth places in TI4 and TI6, respectively.
Mushi is also no stranger to Philippine Dota as he played for Mineski back in 2017. He also played with former TNC stars Polo “Raven” Fausto and Nico “eyyou” Barcelon and Djardel “DJ” Mampusti in Fnatic.
The Malaysian Dota 2 veteran will be handling a TNC squad who was coming off a seventh-eight place finish in the WePlay AniMajor.
TNC, who had a disastrous Dota Pro Circuit Season One which saw them miss the ONE Esports Singapore Major, failed to secure a direct invitation to TI10 as it needed a top-three finish to punch its ticket to Stockholm, Sweden.
The regional qualifiers will begin on June 30.
