TNC Predator takes down Beyond The Summit Pro, banks USD21K

TNC Predator ended their 2020 campaign on a high note after winning the Beyond The Summit Pro Series Season Four SEA, Sunday evening.

The Filipinos scored a come-from-behind victory, 3-2, over a stacked Team Dog in the best-of-five grand finals.

Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte spearheaded the TNC machine with 12 kills, two deaths, and five assists playing Morphling while Armel “Armel” Tabios put up seven kills, zero deaths, and 14 assists using his signature Invoker in the winner-take-all Game Five.

Timothy “Tims” Randrup and TNC coach-turned-stand in Kim “Febby” Yong-min provided the support for their 1-2 punch.

Tims’ Mirana finished with four kills, a death, and 17 assists while Febby had two kills, five deaths, and 18 assists with his Clockwerk.

Australian offlaner Damien “kpii” Chok provided a clean 4-0-18 kill-death-assist tally with his Brewmaster.

Meanwhile, Filipino Abed Yusop led Team Dog with two kills, three deaths, and two assists while Daryl “iceiceice” Pei Xiang had a kill, six deaths, and five assists.

TNC won the opening series while Team Dog put up dominant performances in games two and three to bury the Predators. Luckily for them, Gabbi came alive in Game Four to send the series to a decisive Game Five.

The Filipino contingent topped the group stages with an 11-3 standing to secure the top seed in the playoffs. SEA rival Fnatic sent TNC down the lower bracket where they dispatched T1 for the grand finals slot.

TNC Predator brought home a total of $21,000 for winning the tournament.
