Just days after NLEX shipped him to NorthPort in exchange for Michael Miranda, Juami Tiongson is on the move once again. This time, the Batang Pier made a deal with the Columbian Dyip.
Tiongson has been sent to Columbian in exchange for Jerramy King in a trade approved by the PBA Friday.
Tiongson will now play for his third team in the league. The Ateneo product was drafted by Blackwater in 2014 and played there until 2016, before being called up by NLEX in 2017.
In Columbian, Tiongson will have the spot of King, who has been a key cog for the Dyip since he joined them in 2018 – so much so that he was in the running for Most Improved Player that year.
But it’s not just the two guards which will swap places. Another deal followed suit, sending Russel Escoto in exchange for fellow big men Joseph Gabayni and Lervin Flores.
This trade is wish granted for both King and Escoto, as they have told Columbian before of their desire to be traded.
