Far Eastern University has named one of its greats as the new head coach of the Lady Tamaraws.
Tina Salak will be the one calling the shots on the sidelines for FEU starting UAAP Season 85.
She replaces George Pascua.
Salak, is a product of FEU, steering the Lady Tamaraws to back-to-back crowns during seasons 57 and 58. The 5-foot-11 playmaker was also the Most Valuable Player in Season 57.
As a player, Salak won two Shakey’s V-League titles and three Philippine Superliga crowns.
Salak, 45, is also the head coach of De La Salle-Zobel, steering the Junior Lady Spikers to the UAAP Season 81 championship.
FEU, meanwhile, also paid tribute to their former head coach Pascua.
“A champion FEU coach, a champion FEU student-athlete, forever a Tamaraw. We wish you well in the next chapter of your career.”
During UAAP Season 84, FEU missed the playoffs for the first time in eight years.
