Thirdy Ravena’s home return blemished as Kawasaki routs San-En in B.League

Thirdy Ravena did not have the home return he had hoped for.

San-En was overpowered by Kawasaki that resulted in a 74-103 wire-to-wire romp in the 2020-21 B.League regular season, Saturday at Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

Despite wearing Ravena’s familiar blue and white colors for the first time this season, NeoPhoenix could not get anything going against the league powerhouse.

The Brave Thunders raced to a 29-12 lead early and never looked back.

Kawasaki led by as much as 30 points in the contest, 80-50, in the closing seconds of the third canto.

The trio of Pablo Aguilar, Jordan Heath, and Nick Fazekas proved to be too much for San-En, which dropped to 11-39 for the season.

Aguilar had 23 points built on three triples to go along with eight boards. Heath tallied 17 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks, and four assists while Fazekas almost had a triple-double with 10 points, eight rebounds, and seven rebounds to power Kawasaki to a 34-15 slate.

Ravena, who played 28 minutes in the contest, was limited to just four points on 2-of-10 shooting with three rebounds, two steals, a block, and an assist.

Kyle Hunt had 18 points to pace San-En while Stevan Jelovac tallied a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Nenad Millenovic chipped in 12 markers.

The two teams square off again tomorrow at 1:05PM.
