Thirdy Ravena soldiers on as San-En snaps seven-game skid in B.League

Thirdy Ravena still logged heavy minutes despite the collision he figured in yesterday, helping San-En to a skid-snapping 82-76 triumph over Shiga in the 2020-21 B.League season, Sunday afternoon at Ukaruchan Arena.

Ravena, who figured in a crash with Lakestar Jordan Hamilton in San-En’s 87-94 loss to the same team yesterday, played 30 minutes in the contest, registering seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.

And unlike Saturday’s tilt, NeoPhoenix was able to hold on against the Lakestars.

Up by 12, 65-53, entering the final frame, San-En saw their lead dwindle down to just six, 70-64, with 4:13 left.

Serbian Stevan Jelovac was able to stop the bleeding while locals Tatsuya Suzuki and Hayato Kawashima nailed big buckets to restore order and snap San-En’s seven-game slide.

Jelovac led San-En with 28 points and 12 rebounds while fellow import Kyle Hunt added 12 points and seven boards.

Kawashima also had a big game with 16 points built on four triples while Suzuki steered NeoPhoenix with 13 points and five dimes.

San-En rose to 12-41 in the West while dropping Shiga to 18-33.

Jordan Hamilton followed up his 32-point game with 25 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for Shiga. Jonathan Octeus and Angus Brandt chipped in 12 and 11 markers, respectively.

San-En looks to build on this win when they face Ryukyu on Wednesday at 6:05PM.
