Thirdy Ravena plays just four mins as San-En takes back-to-back in B.League

Thirdy Ravena played limited minutes in San-En NeoPhoenix’s 80-74 escape of Levanga in the 2020-21 B.League Season, Sunday at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center.

Ravena is still finding his groove after being diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19) last November 27. He played just four minutes in the contest, going scoreless for the first time in six games.

The Asian import played 18 minutes last Saturday in San-En’s 83-69 rout of the same team, finishing with five points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Still, San-En put up a fight to rack up back-to-back wins.

Clinging to just a three point lead with 32 ticks left, Hayato Kawashima knocked down a floater to gain a 74-69 lead and stop the spirited rally by the home team.

San-En rose to 4-17 in the West District – the same record as their eastern counterpart Hokkaido.

Kawashina fired 19 points built on three triples in the victory.

Imports Kyle Hunt and Stevan Jelovac also contributed to the victory. The former tallied 20 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks; meanwhile, the latter added 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Jordan Taylor led Levanga’s late rally, finishing with 21 points, six rebounds, and five dimes.

Hokkaido missed its other import Nick Mayo.

Ravena hopes to get his groove back next weekend as San-En takes on Niigata Albirex BB at the Toyohashi City General Gym.
