The King returns to Manila

Three-time NBA champion LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers will visit Manila on 8 and 9 September 2016, for the LeBron James Tour Manila 2016. He will be here to inspire Filipino fans and basketball players to battle and conquer their doubts the way he did on the way to winning for Cleveland its first major sports championship in 52 years.

The Tour is inspired by LeBron James’ spirit of proving doubters wrong, after he led his team to a historic comeback from a 3-1 series deficit — the only NBA team ever to reverse those odds — showing his capability to lead the team to the championship. With sheer will, talent and leadership he carried the Cavs against the top-seeded Golden State Warriors, ending the championship series with phenomenal and unprecedented records. He led both Finals teams in points, rebounds, steals, blocks and assists. While here, LeBron James will share that spirit and inspire Filipino basketball players to battle and overcome their doubts, and push themselves and the game forward.

A part of the LeBron James Tour Manila 2016 is the Battle the Doubt Bootcamp, a one-day basketball camp featuring professional Nike coaches and athletes. Participants of the Bootcamp will come from selected schools and teams of different barangays, and a selection from the digital challenge. The Battle the Doubt Bootcamp features activities that focus on the common reservations that basketball players face, ranging from mental obstacles to working with a team to technical skills. Participants can expect a motivational talk, fitness assessments, team building activities, skills training and the possibility of facing off with the King himself.

The event promises a night of inspiration from some of the best basketball players in the Philippines, as well as an appearance from The King himself.
