To say that Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy struggled in ONIC PH’s Game Three match against Omega Esports is an understatement.
This, as the veteran support’s Pharsa was hounded by Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog (Chou), Duane “Kelra” Pillas (Claude), and Renz “Renzio” Cadua (Ruby) all throughout the match that eventually propelled them to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight Grand Finals.
With the target on his back, Baloyskie decided to put his focus on plotting the team’s schemes.
“Bale ginagawa ko po, bumabawi na lang ako sa pagiisip kung ano dapat naming gawin.
“Doon na lang ako bumabawi. Sa scrims ganun talaga score ko e,” said Baloy moments after the 3-0 sweep.
The one-time MPL champion also made sure to time Ch4knu’s Flicker spell which proved to be pivotal for ONIC PH’s comeback in the match.
“Magaling talaga sila mag take ng fights e so ang ginawa namin nag ano kami, nag count ng spell ng Chou kaya nung wala na siyang spell ayun,” shared the former Aura PH star.
“Siya kasi yung nagpapahirap sa amin e. Nung na-burn namin yung flicker, ayun maganda na yung mangyari.”
Despite finishing the match with a horrid 0-10-6 KDA line, Baloy managed to guide his squad to a tight 13-23 come-from-behind Game Three win which lasted for 28 minutes and 16 seconds.
Aside from the grand finals slot, ONIC PH also became the first representative of the Philippines in the first-ever M3 World Championships.
ONIC PH will take on the winner of the Blacklist International-ONIC PH losers’ final match tomorrow at 6:00 PM.
