Strong Group bolsters PVL squads with four veteran pickups

Strong Group Athletics, which fields two teams in the Premier Volleyball League, made a clear push for stability ahead of the 2026 season by adding four veteran reinforcements.

The quartet is composed of Chie Saet and Remy Palma from Petro Gazz, along with Royse Tubino and Bia General of Choco Mucho, giving either ZUS Coffee or Farm Fresh a blend of championship pedigree and veteran leadership.

The latest moves come a month after Strong Group also secured the services of former Chery Tiggo standouts Cess Robles, Karen Verdeflor, and Renee Peñafiel.

Saet, the most experienced of the group at 41, has spent her entire PVL career with the Angels since 2019. She was a pivotal part of four championships, three of which were won during the league’s professional era.

Palma, meanwhile, adds a steady presence in the middle along with leadership on and off the court. The 30-year-old three-time PVL champion is set to take on a dual role as a playing assistant coach.

Tubino, a 32-year-old opposite spiker, is coming off a one-year stint with the Flying Titans, where she provided reliable scoring off the bench. Meanwhile, General spent most of her time with the Rebisco-backed squad as the primary backup to multi-time Best Libero Thang Ponce.

ZUS Coffee is coming off a maiden Finals appearance in last season’s Reinforced Conference, where it fell to Petro Gazz in the championship series.

On the other hand, Farm Fresh registered a franchise-best 7–1 elimination-round record before exiting in the quarterfinals.
