SOURCES: Toshi, ImbaDeejay to join Work Auster core in TNC

TNC formalized its entry to the Mobile Legends: Professional League-Philippines after acquiring Work Auster Force ahead of Season Eight, Tuesday afternoon.

The Filipino esports powerhouse, which has dominated the Philippine Dota 2 scene since 2016, looks to extend its territory in Southeast Asia’s most popular mobile MOBA.

“With every rise and fall, we come back stronger and now we harnessed the perfect new power to achieve greatness,” said Work Auster Force in a statement posted on their Facebook page.

“Being widely known for their great achievements in Dota 2 and being Southeast Asian multi-gaming organization of Philippine net cafe chain, we are proud to announce that TNC has now entered the Mobile Legends scene and we are honored to be its new banner holder.”

Aside from this revelation, the squad will also announce its official roster for the MPL’s eight installment this evening.

Multiple sources have told Tiebreaker Times that the organization is bringing in former Omega Esports gold laner Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo and former Cignal Ultra team captain Douglas “ImbaDeejay” Astibe to join the core of Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico, Dylan “Unravel” Catipon, Clarense “Kousei” Guzman, Patrick “RTzy” Ibarra, and Daniel “Daniel” Chuu.

TNC is also signing a couple of rookies to complete its roster.

Work Auster Force turned a lot of heads back in Season Seven. It finished the regular season at the third spot (8-5) in a competitive Group A which has former MPL champions Aura PH, Bren Esports, and Cignal Ultra along with two-time grand finalist ONIC PH.

The team dispatched Nexplay Esports through a 3-1 result in the first round of the lower bracket. They then later received the boot from Bren Esports after a 1-3 beating.
