Balanga Chooks could not recover from the heartbreaker it received from Liman a few hours ago as Russian club Sosnovy Bor blasted them, 10-21 (2:22), Saturday afternoon in Zhejiang, China.
With a 0-2 record, Balanga bowed out of Pool A in the 2019 Hongxiang Holdings Haining Challenger.
Balanga could not find their rhythm all game long, falling behind 10-3 early.
The lowest the lead went was two points, 11-9, as Alvin Pasaol, Travis Franklin, and Chris De Chavez joined hands in a 6-2 run.
However, Alexander Zakharov caught fire late before his teammates Vladimir Bazylev, Artem Timofeev, and Vladislav Meleshkin put the finishing touches in an 8-0 run to close out the rout.
Zakharov had 14 points built on five deuces to go along with nine rebounds.
Franklin had four points each while Pasaol and De Chavez chipped in three apiece.
