Smart powers SIBOL’s title defense in SEA Games

Smart Communications, Inc. has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Sibol Pilipinas, in partnership with the Philippine Esports Organization, as the national squad gears up for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand.

Sibol Pilipinas will look to defend its SEA Games gold medal in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Men’s tournament. The Philippine esports team will also compete in the Arena of Valor (Men) and MLBB (Women) events.

“We are glad to be part of Sibol’s journey to the 33rd SEA Games, as Smart has powered Sibol’s training leading to the competition,” said Lloyd Manaloto, First Vice President at Smart.

Smart has also been recognized with the Best Mobile Latency award by Ookla, a global leader in network intelligence and connectivity insights, based on data from the first half of 2025.

The recognition underscores Smart’s capability to deliver smoother gaming experiences, as lower latency allows quicker response times — an essential factor for mobile gaming, livestreaming, and other real-time online activities.

Fans can enjoy seamless real-time streaming of the SEA Games through Smart’s connectivity offerings. Smart subscribers may stream the games live with Smart Prepaid’s UNLI5G, while TNT subscribers can catch the action with Saya All 99, which includes 6GB open-access data, unlimited calls and texts, and unlimited access to TikTok, Facebook, and Mobile Legends — allowing fans to support Sibol live while enjoying an ultra-responsive mobile gaming experience.

“There’s no need to miss out on the real-time esports moments or your favorite flag-bearing teams. Let’s all rally behind Team Pilipinas and show our support,” Manaloto added.

PESO Executive Director Marlon Marcelo also highlighted the long-standing partnership between the two organizations.

“Smart has always shared our vision of supporting esports in the Philippines and empowering our athletes. Together, we hope to continue inspiring more Filipinos and open doors for young players to dream big,” Marcelo said.

Fans can stay updated on Sibol Pilipinas through the official MLBB Esports accounts on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

The 33rd SEA Games will be held from December 9 to 22 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Beyond esports, Smart subscribers can also rally behind the entire Philippine delegation competing in basketball, tennis, boxing, and other sporting events. Fans are encouraged to show their support by joining online conversations, posting messages of encouragement, and sharing content that amplifies the athletes’ journeys.

Through virtual cheer squads, social media shoutouts, and live-stream watch parties powered by Smart, every Filipino can play a role in boosting the morale of the country’s sports heroes.
