2022 Asian Games

SIBOL to join Road to Asiad tourney


SIBOL revealed its rosters for Dota 2, Hearthstone, League of Legends, and PUBG Mobile which will compete in the upcoming 2022 Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) Road to the Asian Games tournament.

Composing the Dota 2 teams are Grindsky’s Eljhohn Andales, Joel Rivera Pagkatotohan, and Charles Lewis Delos Santos, along with John Duyan, Quirino Gauden Rabino, and Christian Paig of Nedrig.

Mark Angelo Magallanes will coach the team.

Meanwhile, the PUBG Mobile squad will have Cutiepatootie’s John Raymart Rocello, Ronald Aljheron Ginez, and Abdul Barrientos Barode. They will be joined by Kalibre45 Ingenium XLV’s Kail Denver Jade Rioalada and Airon Christopher Berona.

WPE Academy’s Reven Lhi Aloit, Michael Jay Amorosa Gawala, and Cherv Zildjan Dorado and Hotdog Esports’ James David Esteleydes, Jairus Tristan Jacobo, and Redgee Evan Reyes will complete the League of Legends team.

Lastly, Tyrone Candido and Euneil Javiñas will be the Philippines’ representatives in Hearthstone.

After serving as a demo sport in the 2018 Games, esports finally cracked the final list for the 2022 edition to be held in Hangzhou, China.

The Olympic Council of Asia has yet to announce when the Asiad will take place after being postponed last May.

The Road to Asiad is pencilled to take place in September.
