Sibol invites RSG, Omega, Blacklist for IESF qualis

SIBOL handed out direct invitations to RSG PH, Omega Esports, and Blacklist International for the upcoming IESF qualifiers, Wednesday.

The Philippine national team will compete in the 14th World Esports IESF Championships in Bali, Indonesia this coming November.

RSG PH is the reigning MPL Philippines champion after defying the odds in Season Nine. The team went on to top the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia qualifiers.

Omega Esports, meanwhile, was RSG PH’s opponent in the MPL PH grand finals.

Interestingly, Blacklist International — which composed the core of the SIBOL team that won gold in the 31st Southeast Asian Games last May — was not retained by the national team and was part of the direct invitees for the combine.

SIBOL also stated that the participants must be 15 years old to play. This means that players such as Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, Edward “EDWARD” Dapadap, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, and Duane “Kelra” Pillas, to name a few, are eligible to suit up for the national team.

The qualifiers will run from July 8 to 10 while the combine will be from the 15th until the 17th.
