SEA Games: Sibol Valorant tops group stage, CF squad settles for bronze

Sibol Valorant breezed through the round-robin group stages, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record to book the top spot in the semi-final round of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games Cambodia.

The Philippine representatives had some tense moments in their final group stage match after squandering a 10-4 lead as Singapore came knocking by taking three straight rounds but Sibol held on, highlighted by George “Georggyyy” Lachicale’s Ace in Round 20 en route to a 13-8 conclusion.

Sibol opened the floodgates with a 13-2 win over Indonesia that they followed up with 13-9 and 13-8 wins over Vietnam and Cambodia, respectively, to conclude the opening day undefeated.

Sibol will face the winner of the Indonesia-Cambodia group stage match in the semi-finals in hopes of punching their ticket to the gold medal match.
