Scholar to make ‘big’ changes to TNC roster for second half of MPL 12

TNC head coach Jemson “Scholar” Ignacio has revealed that the team’s roster will undergo changes following their sixth loss in the first round of MPL Philippines Season 12.

The team has now suffered their fifth consecutive loss, bringing their standings to 1-6, after being swept by RSG PH, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

“Definitely merong changes na mangyayari. Tignan na lang natin yung magiging update,” said Scholar during the post-game press conference.

“Siguro yung pinaka big changes namin sa ano… sa lineup po. Sure na may babaguhin kami sa lineup kasi isang round na siyang ‘di nag-success so kailangan talaga may baguhin. Tignan na lang natin,” team captain Ben “Benthings” Maglaque echoed.

TNC is expected to promote players from their development squad, TNC Z4, who are currently performing well in MDL PH Season 2 with a 6-1 win-loss record, securing them the third spot.

The team’s MPL squad has won only one game out of 14 matches in the first half of the regular season, which has placed them in the last spot in the standings, tied with another struggling squad, Minana EVOS.

TNC’s sole series win came at the expense of Minana during the second week of MPL PH Season 12’s regular season. Since then, it has been a downhill journey for the team as they lost all their matches.

Despite this, the MPL PH Season 9 bronze medalists still have a chance to make it to the playoffs and break their three-season drought, but they must secure crucial wins in the second half of the season.
