RSG scores sensational MPL PH debut, drops Bren to 0-2

RSG PH dazzled in its debut, keeping BREN Esports winless via a 2-1 victory in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight, Sunday.

Arvie “Aqua” Calderon put up a stellar Harley performance in the decider, finishing with a perfect 6-0-2 line in the 11-5 Game Three victory.

“Hindi naman po kami [na-intimidate], tingin po namin makakasabay talaga kami sa Bren, ,” said Aqua after the win. “Goods lang naman po, tsamba lang yun.”

RSG PH leaned on its sustain strategy in Game Three with Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog (Esmeralda), Nathaniel “Nathzz” Estrologo (Uranus), and EJ “Heath” Esperanza (Rafaela) forming an indestructible frontline which allowed Aqua to wreak havoc in the match.

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno was the lone bright spot for the world champions in Game Three, going 5-2-0 early before ending the match with five kills and four deaths.

RSG PH now has a 1-0 standing while BREN Esports dropped to a 0-2 record — a game away from replicating their horrid 0-3 start in the previous season.

Iy4knu impressed in his RSG debut, leading the team to a 1-0 advantage after a dominant Esmeralda performance in Game One.

The former ONIC PH jungler spearheaded the assault, finishing with an immaculate 5-0-5 kill-death-assist tally in the 18-9 win which lasted for 19 minutes and three seconds.

Bren Esports turned things around in Game Two with CJ “Ribo” Ribo leading the pack with his Kaja.

He finished with four kills and 13 assists against two deaths in the 21-4 Game Two domination.

RSG PH will next go up against Omega Esports on Friday at 8:00 PM while BREN Esports looks to bounce back on Saturday against TNC at 6:00 PM.
