RSG PH knocks ECHO out of MPLI

RSG PH booted out fellow Filipino squad ECHO, 2-1, to advance to the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational quarterfinals, Thursday afternoon.

RSG PH, which took out its Singaporean counterpart in the opening round, will go up against defending MPL Indonesia Season Eight champion ONIC Esports.

With the Luminous Lord up for grabs in the all-important Game Three, Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto (Benedetta) quickly secured the objective, while leading RSG PH to a game-winning clash that saw them take down four members of the ECHO side.

The MPL Philippines Season Eight Best Rookie finished with five kills and two assists against just one death in the 9-10 Game Three win.

“Sobrang relieved kasi lahat ng hard work nag-pay off,” said Demonkite after the win.

RSG PH survived a massive siege from ECHO to complete its come-from-behind 11-14 Game One victory in 24 minutes and 34 seconds.

With ECHO looking to close out the match, RSG PH put up a brave stand and took out three of the five members of the opposing side to stay alive. The team then marched down the middle lane and completed a siege of their own to seal the win.

Leading the charge was Arvie “Aqua” Calderon’s Yve with four kills, two deaths, and seven assists.

Rion “Rk3” Kudo’s Pharsa was the man of the hour for ECHO with four kills, a death, and four assists while also providing the bulk of the damage for his side.
