Rondina calls for help for Odette-ravaged Cebu

Sisi Rondina is raising fund for the victims of Typhoon Odette.

A few moments after finally gaining signal, the 25-year-old beach volleyball star immediately posted on social media photos of how the typhoon ravaged her hometown.

“Nagka-signal din,” she said. “Sabay sabay po tayong kumanta — Mga pagsubok lamang yan wag mong itigil ang laban.

“Wash out po lahat ng bahay dito sa amin.”

Cebu has been put under a state of calamity by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia.

As of publishing, no clear number of casualties has been reported but the damage is seen to reach tens of millions of pesos.

In some parts of Cebu, communication lines have been down while some have experienced power outages.

With the storm happening before Christmas, Rondina is seeking help for her brothers and sisters affected by it.

Kumakatok po ako sa inyo po. Any amount will do po.

“Pagkain, tubig at kahit trapal lang po onting tulong po para sa mga tao po dito sa amin,” she said.
