Roger Pogoy out for rest of Finals due to fractured finger

Roger Pogoy is out for the rest of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

The TNT gunner told Tiebreaker Times that he suffered a fracture on his right pinky during their eventual Game 3 loss to Barangay Ginebra last Friday.

He still showed up for Game 4 Sunday night at the SMART Araneta Coliseum but was clad in street clothes, with his broken finger heavily taped.

This indeed is a major blow for the flagship MVP franchise, who’s hoping to foil the Kings’ three-peat bid and win their first championship since 2021.

Pogoy has been one of TNT’s top players especially in this conference, so much that he competed for the BPC before losing to Christian Standhardinger.

He averaged 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals this Finals.

The 2023 PBA Governors Cup Finals is live-streamed on SMART Sports.
